THE SPECTACULAR CULTURAL WEDDING OF OLAWUNMI AND NSIMA

Another thing I look froward to in Nigerian weddings now, apart from the party jollof rice is the small chops. Small chops have become a norm in Nigerian weddings and I’m so sure I am not the only one that looks for small chops at events. I have also realized that in some weddings, I actually do prefer the small chops as they are very light and will help eat a piece of everything at weddings. Who doesn’t love a light snack that crunchy outside and soft inside like the puff puff or the beef-filled samosa or perhaps the vegetable-filled spring rolls. As a Yoruba girl that I am, my love for proteinous foods (fish, chicken, gizzard or meat kebab) has no bounds.

The wedding of Olawunmi and Nsima can be termed “culture meet couture”. Olawunmi who is from the Western part and Nsima from the East exhibited the unity and oneness of Nigeria as two different tribes were united as one with the wedding of these people. Their traditional wedding was a spectacular cultural event as the couple dressed in the traditional western attire and Eastern attire.

For their white wedding, Olawunmi went for the A-line sleeveless dress while her maids went for white tiny straps jumpsuit with a cape. The groom wore a blue suit and his men were on ash suits.
