ANKARA MAXI SKIRTS FOR THE WIN

I love maxi skirts and they are winning in this post. The maxi skirt is known as a long flowing floor length drape that stops at the ankle of just below the heel. The maxi skirt is a summer favorite in some countries, as the cool breeze does justice to its beauty by constantly sweeping it tentatively to the side. The skirts were huge at one point in time but somehow they fell into obscurity, now they are back and this time they are here to stay.

Your heights determines whether your skirt would be above or below your heel, many people that are 5’ft and below have admitted to finding it difficult to pull off the maxi skirt however I do have to tell you that its easier than you think. Your height doesn’t have any effect on whether or not you should rock a maxi skirt, do not feel it would overwhelm you, instead once you get the correct size and cut it would make you look like you are taller.

One of my favorite fabrics to get a maxi skirt in is the Ankara. The African print fabric aka “Ankara” is a beautiful print with vibrant and interesting motifs that speaks on our culture an heritage. Many of the decorations and patterns of this fabrics brings to life any style or pattern they are cut into and the Ankara maxi skirt is no different. If you are still not convinced of this fact that indulge me, the Ankara maxi skirt is a beauty no doubt and the best way to understand what this means is by scrolling through this gallery;
