LATEST BRIDAL ASO OKE

LATEST BRIDAL ASO OKE

Almost every woman dreams of a perfect wedding day from age 13, we fuss about the right wedding dress, the right weather, the right crowd and the right vows. We fantasize of all the color blends for the day, wishing for a fairy-tale spotless day in the arms of the man who means everything to us. Because of our rich culture and tradition, usually this big day comes into reality with the colourful and trending Aso oke.

Aso oke is the traditional wear of the Yoruba’s (the tribe of the southwest people in Nigeria, Africa). The Yoruba’s are the second largest tribe in Nigeria after the Northerners. Aso-Oke is a cloth that is worn on special occasions by the Yoruba’s usually for chieftaincy, festivals, engagement, naming ceremony and other important events. Cloth weaving (Aso-Oke) started centuries ago amongst the Yoruba’s but predominantly amongst the Iseyin’s (Oyo-State), Ede (Osun State) and Okene Kogi State. The fibres used for weaving are either locally sourced or brought from neighboring states (northern parts of the country).

We understands the need for this day to be perfect and we have come up with a fantastic way to help make your preparations less stressful. We want the best for you on your most special day and for this reason we will be dedicating special wedding collection editions with that special and beautiful Aso oke for our lovely brides.

Today we have a selection of aso oke for our brides; a collection of different styles, colors and designs for your perusal. We hope that this lightens the weight on choice, that way you can worry about other things.
