Just Wondering, Is Ric Hassani Trying To Kill Us In Patrickslim & Just Adire’s New Lookbook

Ric Hassani is a man after our own heart. When he’s not busy in the studio making beautiful tunes, he’s either fronting fashion campaigns or starring in amazing lookbooks and his latest is of no exception.

Donning printastic Adire ensembles, the lookbook sees the alternative singer pose behind an print backdrop and in others standing on a traditionally weave mat, wearing the latest collection by fast rising designer, Patrickslim in collaboration with Just Adire.

The lookbook is titled OKUNRIN IGBALODE – “The Modern Man” which futher translates as typical Yoruba man deeply rooted in culture yet sophisticated and fashion oriented. According to the brand “The decline in the appreciation of locally made fabrics such as Adire and the myth that these fabrics are mostly worn by women in Yorubaland, influenced our group’s exploration of the underlying history behind these fabrics.”

One of the creative directors, Ademola Ogundele also clarified that each piece is tailored for fearless individuals to share their unique story with their style.
