Oprah Winfrey Is Gorgeous On The Latest Issue Of The Hollywood Reporter

Yesterday, Oprah Winfrey is the newest cover star of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. Accompanied with her feature, the self-made billionaire received the Inaugural Empowerment Award at Hollywood Reporter’s Empowerment in Entertainment Event yesterday.

In a wide-ranging interview the publication, Oprah opened up on Apple Plans, 2020 Election, ’60 Minutes’ Exit, ‘Leaving Neverland’ Backlash and Mayor Pete “Buttabeep, Buttaboop.” Winfrey, who has ruled out running for the White House revealed that she was “quietly figuring out where I’m going to use my voice in support. I’m sitting back, waiting to see. It’ll be very clear who I’m supporting.”

She also mentioned the controversy she faced for her involvement in HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary. In spite of the backlash, she initially just wanted to open up the dialogue around sexual abuse and misconduct.

“I really wanted to talk to not just the guys but other people who were seeing it because I knew that people were going to be triggered by it,” she said. “I knew that there would be people who would be re-traumatized by it and would see themselves in it, and I thought, ‘I can help thread the needle of what is actually happening here.’
