How was your week? Am sure it was great and the weekend is even better. Last week Sunday, I was reminded once more on the importance of looking good to church but wearing the right type of attire. A church is not a club nor is it a wedding ceremony where you have to wear the most outlandish aso ebi style or the most eye popping head gear. A church is a place of worship, even though there is the need to dress up there is also a duty to dress appropriately.

When the preacher says dress in a minimal way, they say this so you won’t distract people from listening to the word and teachings being passed across during Sunday school because they are staring at your queer neck piece. Another thing; I think people who wear too much perfume should be arrested literally, is it that you do not know you are suffocating those around you? Please people, let’s be minimal in everything we do especially when it comes to what we wear to church.

Someone has asked me what I think is appropriate for a Sunday service, this depends on the church and their doctrine. You can wear anything from a dress to skirt to pants but if you are attending the service for the first time and you have no idea whatsoever on how you are supposed to look, a calve length dress is the safest bet, it is generally acceptable and can take you from church to brunch in seconds.
