ONLY THE CREATIVES CAN PULL OFF THIS LOOKS AT WORK
For a creative individual work outfit cannot and shouldn’t be habitual, your work environment is totally different from the rest of the world and as such you have to make good use of the freedom you are given. Now many of you are confused and are asking yourself “Who are this creatives?” Well creatives are people who work in an entertainment industry, a film house, creatives include fashion designers, stylist, artiste etc am sure you already get the gist.
The new normal in a creative environment helps to attract potential clients to that environment so the traditional pant suit style wouldn’t work in such an environment rather you would seem odd and clueless. Creativity is hard work (trust me I know) but it can be exciting so if you are used to relying on your uniformed look (which is so easy), that wouldn’t work in a creative office.
One of the first step to a non-traditional office wear is the ability to rethink casual, you have to note that even when you are in a creative environment there are casual that you just can’t wear, especially if they look like you are in your home playing with your pets. Therefore no coffee stained tee shirts or flip flops, no old blouse or jeans you have to turn heads not churn stomachs. Just because its semi-casual doesn’t mean you should run around the office in cheap looking outfit.
Creatives are also big on accessorizing and this is because it can be a distinguishing factor, take for example, a simple body-con dress can be glammed up with a cute pair of metallic belt and sandal heel. So layering, infusing jewelries etc are in allowed and you can be as creative as you want to be.
