We are kicking off our fashion feature for the day and it’s something specially for our male readers.

We know we favour our female readers with most of our fashion features centered around them but today our weekly style feature is something for the fashionable men here.

Instead of featuring a Fashionista, we are doing a ‘Fashionisto Of The Week’ and Style Blogger Shine Amaechi lands the spot.

Shine Amaechi runs a personal style blog- www.themodishquirk.com. He is currently a business Management & Computer Science major at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana.

His floral and stripe combo here simply attests that men too can pull off eye catching trends. According to Shine, “the idea for this look which I call “the fripe” [Fripe = floral + stripe] was birthed about two years ago. I was on holiday in Port Harcout, it was a Sunday and I was going through THISDAY Style mag when I came across pictures from the red carpet of an event. I saw this lady in a floral chiffon top a bold black and white striped bodycon skirt. I thought it was beautiful and immediately began obsessing over it. What I particularly loved about the look was that both prints individually are strong and make pretty bold statements. However, together the blend soo cohesively and look incredible….”
