In Nigeria its tradition in some cultures for the bride to be seen in an head wrap on her traditional wedding day. This tradition can be traced to both the western and northern part of nigeria, this two cultures believe in adorning the heads of their bride’s to be, to them a head wrap adds to the beauty of the bride.

While am all for the aso-oke, not everyone likes to follow the crowd, if you are that type of person then you could try an embellished velvet head gear. The velvet fabric is a beautiful fabric but its rarely used as a head gear, this doesn’t mean it has not been done before. Other fabrics you can use includes the damask, Ankara, jubilee etc.
