This year Nigeria’s fashion industry got a boost, now everyone is into fashion and whats in right now. There are so many trends that came and went and there are some that we are still into however one of the trends that seemed to die down was the pleat skirt. In 2012, the pleat skirt resurfaced and stayed up to 2014, however before the end of 2014 it gave way to the flare skirt which took over 2015 and is still trending now. The take over meant fewer people rocking the pleat skirt so it quickly became a thing of the past but what happens to the different pleat skirt that you have purchased?

Recently we’ve begun to see some of the top bloggers pulling out their old and new pleat skirt and rocking it without a care in the world. Now we know that this ladies are trying to bring the trend back because hey, trends never really die they just take a long break; however the pleat skirt is taking a short one as it is beginning to come back. This isn’t the first appearance, blogger Monica Etuk had worn two pleat skirts over the past weeks and she isn’t stopping anytime soon.
