MELANIN POPPING BEAUTY VLOGGER, JACKIE AINA

I’m sure by now that you all know our week isn’t complete without crushing on an inspiring lady and this week’s edition of Woman Crush Wednesday is Melanin popping Beauty Vlogger, Jackie Aina.

One of my favourite platforms for finding new content is YouTube and that’s where we found this beautiful lady who has since blossomed in more ways than one. Jackie Aina is not only a stunning woman of colour on the outside, but she radiates warmth and personality. She uses her expertise to teach about skincare, current products that are worth the splurge, proper makeup applications and everyday makeup hacks to look flawless every time in her videos.

With over 700k subscribers, Jackie Aina is now a woman who can be seen working with big brands like L’Oreal, spotted on the video channels of Refinery29, be a YouTube Change Ambassador (working for women’s and minority rights) and just constantly being a fresh face in the world of beauty.

Jackie who picked up make up as a hobby in the military academy, gained experience with hairdressing during her time in cosmetology school, but eventually became a self-taught freelance makeup artist. She is full of life, she is gorgeous with or without make up and she celebrates her culture and heritage in her videos. She is a woman who loves her beautiful dark skin and teaches us how to love ours too

She shows off how to make your makeup work for you, that brown skinned girls don’t have to shy away from bright colours, whilst still sharing and offering insights on how to relentlessly fearless go for your goals and aspirations as a woman of color.
