The eclectic and unconventional designer Kiki Kamanu shows her ‘dresscentric Spring/Summer 2018 collection with the theme “d’Etre Femme” at the Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW) in Lagos on Saturday, October 28th 2017.
‘d’Etre Femme’ is KIKI KAMANU’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. The designer’s bold line up explores lines, incorporating leather and dramatic silhouettes. This very wearable ‘dresscentric’ collection takes the working woman from the board room to a cocktail party and on to the red carpet.
‘d’Etre Femme’ is sensual and strong. It is exquisite in its raw femininity with a bold seductive edge. With a nod to Japan where her American mother was raised, the designer remakes the iconic Obi belt by incorporating a South American Aztec inspired print with calf skin leather and diamanté in several pieces giving them a contemporary feel. With the catchphrase « J’Adore +234 » we also see the designer giving homage to her Nigerian father’s homeland. Each piece stands alone yet fits effortlessly into every discriminating woman’s wardrobe
