As if there wasn’t enough excitement on the Met Gala red carpet already – the trains! The headdresses! Wings! – 2 Chainz decided to add a little romance to the evening. The rapper got down on one knee and proposed to his longtime partner, Kesha Ward, on the steps of the Met (and she said yes). The couple, who have three children together, previously got engaged at the BET Awards in 2013 but never made it official. Interestingly, it isn’t the first Met Gala engagement; the 2004 event is reportedly where Donald Trump proposed to Melania.
