Show Report: AFI Joburg Fashion Week 2018: Quiteria & George

The 2018 African Fashion International (AFI) Joburg Fashion Week took place in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg from 4-7 October 2018. In the theme #AfroAsia, AFI Joburg Fashion Week 2018 showcased the best of African fashion with a sprinkle of Asian flavour.

The Fashion and Style Department is doing Show Reports on some select designers showcasing their latest collection this season.

According to a review by AFI: “Quiteria & George was founded by Quiteria Lebohang Kekana and George Malelu, the label Quiteria & George is influenced immensely by the diversity of South African culture. The pair describes their work as architecture in motion by approaching their designs with a genius that reconciles various eclectic elements to produce an output that makes the mundane fantastic.

The Quiteria & George Brand renowned for its fashion trends has dressed celebrities such as Terry Phetho, Siphokazi January, Jessica Nkosi, Nandi Mngoma, Boity Thulo and Nomuzi Mabena – just to name a few.”
