Paris Fashion Week: Off-White’s RTW Fall 2019 Was A Mixture Of Minimalism And Glamour
Off-White‘s creative director, Virgil Abloh was inspired by the codes of the turbo-charged world of motor racing, such as checkered flags and racing overalls for his Fall 2019 collection which showed at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week.
The streetwear US designer, who turned sports kit and irony into high fashion, performed a U-turn at his Off-White show on Thursday night by showing a vibrantly modern collection.
Held on a checkerboard catwalk,the ready-to-wear collection was split between minimalism and glamour, colour and neutrals. In short, old Off White and a new direction. For every pair of trainers, there was a pair of heels.
