Sai Sankoh launches its Resort 2019 Collection: Lusting Havana

The label is named Sai Sankoh, after the founder. Sai launched the line after realizing there was a niche in the market for a sophisticated, glamorous yet comfortable lifestyle brand that women can effortlessly style from the boardroom to the beach. The colors used throughout this collection are inspired by many magical destinations Sai visited but especially the ones in her hometown of Freetown, Sierra Leone: lush green rainforests, colorful architecture with picturesque and inviting landscape. Talking about the collection Sai says “I drew inspiration from hot African summer days where you have lot of birds chirping, butterflies, all surrounded by a bright and colorful marketplace.”

Sai Sankoh is looking to bridge the gap between lounge wear and resort wear and ultimately bring new excitement to leisurewear through this new collection. Apart from their exquisite kaftans, Sai Sankoh offers a wide range of additional items such as tops, jumpsuits, skirt sets and pant sets. The range features hues such as snakeskin green, lemon with splashes of neon, red and hot pink. Africa’s diverse fauna and flora inspired the motifs used in the collection. To tie it all together, the collection was shot in Havana, Cuba, where the melting pot of Cuban and African culture provided the most perfect backdrop.
The Lusting Havana collection is designed to inspire people to get away and to escape it all, whether relaxing at a resort or lounging after a busy day. Prices within the resort collection range from $150 to $600 for a ready-to-wear piece and from $800 for a perfectly customized item.
