All Fur Styles From Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week 2017
Haute Couture Fashion Week aka Paris Fashion Week, has come to an end. Did any of you ever wonder what Haute Couture means? Well, we went on a search for an accurate descriptive definition that sums up every aspect of it and so: “fashion that is constructed by hand from start to finish, made from high quality, expensive, often unusual fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable sewers, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques.”. And not surprisingly, it is exactly what this week was. Every collection was unique in its own way and overall there was much more diversity and variety than in any other fashion week. The message was clear, luxury is important!
But as we mentioned before, this week has been just a tad bit disappointing fur wise. All those luxurious outfits, coats, gowns and eccentric ensembles that were all over the runway were undoubtedly pieces of high fashion and expert craftsmanship, but fur was sadly a rare sight. Thankfully, the designers that did choose to implement fur in their collection did an excellent job at accentuating those aspects of fur that make us love it so much. Aside from the fact that it is the softest warmest material, it is fashionable, luxurious and beautiful to look at.
Some of the best fur outfits were work of various designers that include Sonia Rykiel, Elie Saab, Albert Kriemler for the brand Akris, Ann Demeulemeester, Tuomas Merikoski for Aalto, Dries Van Noten, Louis Vuitton and several other talented designers that could only be described as artists. Their pieces were truly pieces of art, worth investing in.
One could never leave street style outfits out of our highlights’ collection. As if French need an excuse to dress luxuriously, through the entire February the streets of Paris were filled with eye-catching and effectively combined ensembles that you’ll see above, including two instances when Kendall Jenner was spotted wearing fur. www.hauteacorn.com
